African Charter on Statistics RESEARCH

It was adopted by the 12th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on 3rd February 2009 as a remedy to cater for the non existence of quality statistical data produced by the African statistical system. It serves not only as a legal instrument to regulate statistical activity but also as a tool for advocacy and the development of statistics in Africa.
