The Fund for young French-speaking creation was born from a joint project between the National Center for Cinema and Animated Image (CNC) in France, the Wallonia-Brussels Federation in Belgium, the Film Fund Luxembourg in Luxembourg, the Company for Cultural Business Development (SODEC) in Quebec, Telefilm Canada, TV5MONDE, Orange, France Télévisions, SACD, SACD Belgium and SACD Canada.
Based on a system of grants to support the dynamism of creation in cinema, TV or web series and various web content, the Fund is meant to encourage the emergence of promising talents French-speaking Sub-Saharan African countries * and in Haiti.
* Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Congo Brazzaville, Congo DRC, Ivory Coast, Djibouti, Gabon, Guinea, Comoros Islands and Mauritius, Madagascar, Mali, Niger, Central African Republic, Rwanda, Senegal, Seychelles, Chad , Togo.
The goal is to contribute to the emergence of new directors and producers and to be able to support their projects, selected by a commission of professionals. Depending on the progress of the selected projects, they may benefit from a writing residency for the authors, cash contribution for the production or technical support or coaching for the post-production.
