AFRIFESTNET Call for festivals impact studiesNEWS

AFRIFESTNET, the African Festival Network launched in Accra on 20 April 2012 invites members to submit festival impact studies that cover social, economic or other impact. AFRIFESTNET aims to publish a booklet of 7 to 10 studies describing the impact of festivals at local, national, regional or continental level to be used for advocacy purposes.

Who can submit?

- Members of AFRIFESTNET

- Established African festivals or cultural events with a history of at least 5 editions

The studies are to be existing studies, undertaken in the last three years (studies conducted before 1 January 2009 will not be eligible), and are to be submitted in English or French, with a maximum length of 20 A4 pages.These studies are to be available for publication by AFRIFESTNET, with submitting Festivals agreeing that AFRIFESTNET may publish these (the publication will not be sold).
