The Arterial Network at the Harare International Festival of the Arts
Gorée Island Conference ARTERIAL - Vitalizing African cultural assets
The Arterial Network, with the support of AFRICALIA, organised a cultural tour for African arts journalists to Harare from 26 to 02 May. All the regions of Africa (North, South, East, West and Central) were represented at the tour. The tour offered a range of opportunities including:
•Meetings with a range of cultural players in Harare (Zimbabwe),
•Meeting with representatives of Arts Councils in Africa,
•Meeting with the Arterial Network cultural policy task team,
•Attending various shows at HIFA,
•The opportunity to be part of a team to establish a network of cultural journalists on the continent.
Some of the journalists who took part in the tour wrote very interesting articles about what they saw in Harare.
