Jazz in CarthageEVENTS

Last year musical festival «Jazz in Carthage by Tunisiana» (Jazz à Carthage by Tunisiana) wasn’t held due to the revolution. Since that time many things have changed in Tunisia but «Jazz à Carthage» remained: an indisputable proof of the fact that this event still performs its original purpose: to accept challenge of time, presenting jazz in all its diversity. Diversity is the key word in the modern world.

This diversity is reflected by the festival programm. The most diverse sources of inspiration, subtle combinations... Irrespective of modern trends – blues, rock, samba, boleros, pop, folk -, from dominating trend – classics or rhythms of primeval Africa -, jazz is always afloat.

By means of reprises which give you a chance to rediscover classics or get yourself familiar with jazz as well as providing you with an opportunity to lend your ear to artists who explore most unbeaten paths, «Jazz in Carthage by Tunisiana» realizes its task – to come up to expectations of rather heterogeneous public.
Youth and teenagers, novices and experts jointly create the success of this festival which perpetuates a tradition over 50 years in Tunisia.
