The Minister of Arts, Cultural Tourism and Francophone Culture of the Central African Republic (CAR) visits Abidjan
On Monday the 24th of July 2017, Ms Aline Gisèle PANA, Minister of Arts, Cultural Tourism and Francophone Culture of the Central African Republic, visited the new premises of Arterial Network located at the headquarters of Masa Côte d'Ivoire in Abidjan-Plateau. She is in Cote d'Ivoire as part of the 8th International Jeux de la Francophonie.
The meeting fell under the banner of various advocacy efforts being made to unite authorities and partners across Africa. According to the Minister, "the adoption of a cultural policy and its implementation is important in our countries, as well as improving the status of artists and the laws relating to the rights of authors etc." The Central African Republic is currently working on their latest cultural policy draft.
While in Abidjan,the Minister also paid a courtesy visit to the Director General of MASA, Professor Yacouba Konaté.
