Our Chairperson Daves Guzha and Secretary General Tojo Yharimanana carried out an introductory and cooperative mission from 16 to 20 April at the African Union headquarters in Addis Ababa Ethiopia. 'Africa. During this mission, several working sessions were held with some of the highest executives of the institution and with various diplomatic representations on the Ethiopian territory. Arterial Network programs as well as partnership opportunities were discussed during this meetings.
Arterial Network was honored to meet and discuss with Mrs Angela Martins, Director of the Cultural Division, Department of Social Affairs, and Mr Mekbib Ayalew, Technical Officer in the Cultural Division, Department of Social Affairs, with Ms Yaye Ramatoulaye Dieye, Mission Manager at the Commission on the African Union Gender Policy, with the Royal Norwegian Embassy represented by Ms Rina Kristmoen, Regional Affairs Adviser, and Mr Audun Skei Fostvedt-Mills, Second Secretary, AU / Regional Affairs.
Arterial Network's Chairperson and Secretary General also had working sessions with Ms. Winpeg Moyo, Counselor of the Minister and Consul of Zimbabwe, with Mr. Jonah Helth Lönborg, Counselor, Regional Affairs, at the Royal Danish Embassy in Ethiopia and with Mr. Bengt van Loosdrecht, Ambassador, Permanent Representative to the African Union, IGAD, UNECA, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ethiopia.
These allowed our pan-African network to establish solid contacts that may lead to future collaborations with these institutions, whilst reinforcing Arterial Network's relationship with the African Union. As a first result of the mission, we obtained AU authorization to celebrate Africa Day 2019 with an Arterial Network event in the African Union venue in Addis Ababa. Stay tuned for more !
